Raphael is a cross-border Canada/US tax, trust and estate planning lawyer. Licensed in Ontario and New York, Raphael provides tax and estate planning strategies and implementations to high net-worth individuals and families with a Canadian and US asset base, including US citizens living in Canada, US residents and citizens owning Canadian assets, and beneficiaries of cross-border trusts and estates.

Raphael has over a decade previous corporate planning and wills and trusts experience gained at a boutique business law firm north of Toronto. Raphael also has over a decade of experience representing taxpayers in litigation disputes with the Canada Revenue Agency and the Ontario Ministry of Finance at the audit and objection level, and before the Tax Court of Canada, Federal Courts of Canada and the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.

Raphael received his Juris Doctorate from Brooklyn Law School in 2008, was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2009, and the Ontario Bar in 2010. He received his International Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the Schulich School of Business at York University in 2004. Raphael is a Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners Canada Affiliate Member.
